Heartwarming Services

Rice Subsidy Policy

Since 2008, XMU has implemented a policy that provides free rice to all full-time undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students with the exception of those enrolled as sponsored or commissioned postgraduates. Students may choose between steamed rice or porridge, both available at no cost. It is important to remember that students must bring their campus cards and take only what is necessary to minimize food waste.

Festive Meals for Traditional Holidays

To celebrate traditional Chinese festivals such as the Mid-Autumn Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Winter Solstice, canteens offer seasonal dishes that reflect the spirit of the holidays. On Chinese New Year's Eve, the university goes above and beyond by providing a warm, home-style reunion dinner for students and faculty who remain on campus, helping everyone feel the sense of community at XMU.
