The final of the 11th China Undergraduate Medical Innovation Tournament and the Belt and Road International Competition was held at Shandong University’s central campus.

The competition was structured in three stages: campus selection, regional rounds, and the national final. It brought together more than 4,000 students and faculty members from 201 universities across 10 countries, along with over 200 guests and experts, making it a major gathering in the field of medical innovation.

Seven teams from Xiamen University's (XMU) School of Medicine advanced to the national final after excelling in the earlier stages. In the final round, the XMU team achieved outstanding results, winning two gold awards, four silver awards, and one bronze award.

The School of Medicine attached great importance to the competition. Faculty and students worked closely together, progressing from literature review to experimental design, from refining results to rehearsing presentations over several months. Their efforts exemplified the transformation of knowledge into innovative practice.

The awards not only highlight the professional competence and creativity of XMU medical students but also reflect the school’s progress in advancing new models of medical talent training. The School of Medicine will continue to provide broader platforms for innovation, more deeply integrate medical education and scientific research, and cultivate versatile medical professionals with a global vision and practical skills.
