Xiamen University hosted the advanced round of the Fujian Provincial Division of the 5th Stories of China Retold in English Challenge for international students on April 26. Nearly 70 international students from 18 countries—including Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Nigeria—advanced to this competition stage.

Centered around the theme "New Stories, Beautiful China", contestants delivered compelling speeches in fluent Chinese, sharing their unique perspectives and personal experiences of living and studying in China. Through their storytelling, they exhibited a profound understanding of China's development and encouraged cultural exchange through the art of language.
