Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is marking its 10th anniversary in 2026, following a decade of campus construction that transitioned the site from open ground into a campus featuring "Kah Kee style" architecture, combining Western architectural forms with traditional Chinese rooftops.

A key component of the development is the nine-story People's Great Hall, also designated as A3, which officially opened in 2023. Generously donated by Robert Kuok, the 36,000-square-meter facility houses administrative offices, exhibition areas, creative spaces, a book repository with a capacity exceeding 1 million books and periodicals, and more than 2,000 study seats.

The university also developed its central artificial body of water, Furong Lake. The site features the Furong Bridge, which connects the campus teaching and living areas, as well as a floating music hall.

Student activities are centered in the five-story Building B1, which contains classrooms, computer labs, a student service hall, a self-study area, a Chinese medicine clinic, a supermarket, a bakery, and a restaurant. It also accommodates a swimming pool, a gym, a yoga room, a badminton court, and a table tennis room, while hosting club activities, markets, and performances.

A newly opened campus canteen has expanded food options. The dining facility provides meals, coffee, tea, baked goods, and late-night food stalls.
