Journal of Electrochemistry (J Electrochem), sponsored by Xiamen University and the Chinese Chemical Society, has been officially indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of the Web of Science (Clarivate). Articles published in the journal after 2024 will be searchable on the Web of Science platform. The journal is projected to receive its first Impact Factor in 2027.

Founded in 1995 by Academician Tian Zhaowu, J Electrochem is currently led by Editor-in-Chief Academician Sun Shigang and serves as the official journal of the Chinese Society of Electrochemistry. Its inclusion in ESCI marks a significant milestone in the journal's development, following its indexing in major databases such as Scopus, EBSCO, SJR, Google Scholar, CA, and JST. This achievement reflects growing international recognition of the journal's academic quality and will further expand its global reach and scholarly influence.
