XMU receives awards at 2025 World Chinese Language Conference

The 2025 World Chinese Language Conference, themed "Innovation Leads, AI Empowers: Learning Chinese without Borders", was held from Nov 14 to 16 in Beijing.

The event gathered more than 2,000 linguists, cultural scholars, and educators from around the world to explore new pathways and future directions for the international promotion of the Chinese language.

Xiamen University sent a delegation led by Chen Zhiwei, dean of the Chinese International Education College or Overseas Education College, together with representatives from Confucius Institutes and the Chinese Language and Culture Research Center.

At the Global HSK Partners Conference on Nov 15, XMU was recognized for its solid foundation in international Chinese education, rigorous exam management, and effective promotion, receiving the 2025 HSK Study in China Best Partner Award.

The university was also one of the first universities selected to join the HSK Platform for Studying in China, which will leverage its resources to provide global Chinese learners with convenient application channels and higher-quality educational services.

Additionally, XMU's co-established Confucius Institute at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria was honored 2025 Outstanding HSK Test Center, marking its sixth such recognition.

At the 2025 Global Chinese Alliance Partner Conference, two case studies from XMU's Confucius Institute at Stellenbosch University in South Africa were recognized as "Cases on Confucius Institute Digital Application and Practice", providing replicable models for the global digital transformation of Confucius Institutes.
