The 13th International Conference on Mobile Mapping Technology (MMT 2025) took place at Xiamen University (XMU) from June 20 to 22. As a flagship conference of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the event attracted nearly 300 experts, scholars, industry representatives, and students.

The opening ceremony saw esteemed figures such as Chen Jun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Christian Heipke from Leibniz University Hannover.

During the ceremony, speeches were delivered by representatives of ISPRS and the Chinese Society for Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography, emphasizing the conference's professionalism and international stature.

Xie Zhaoxiong, assistant president of XMU, highlighted the school's contributions to AI and mobile measurement, fostering internationally impactful research in fields like 3D vision and spatial intelligence. Xie also expressed his hope that the convening of MMT 2025 would further promote the deep integration between academia and industry, foster a more closely-knit international cooperation network, and contribute intellectual resources to the development of relevant disciplines.

The conference, chaired by Professor Wang Cheng from XMU, featured eight keynote speeches covering topics such as dynamic 3D reconstruction and national 3D mapping initiatives. Additionally, tutorial sessions and thematic forums on cutting-edge subjects like 3D modeling, point cloud processing, and unmanned autonomous mapping were held.

The conference was brought to a successful conclusion with the presentation of awards for best papers and reports on June 22.
