As a part of celebrations on the 10^thanniversary of Confucius Institutes project, Xiamen University art group was on a tour of North America from 24 September to 8 October. The tour covered the University of Maryland, the University of Delaware, the University of Pennsylvania, San Diego State University, Meade High School, Barrie High School and Paint Branch Primary School. The performance featured thecharacteristics of Chinese culture and art, including Chinese dancing, Chinese musical instruments playing, Chinese songs, live performing Chinese painting and calligraphy. The tour attracted not only students of Confucius Institutes in the above universities and schools but also a lot of alumni. A lot of studentsfluently used Chinese to express their love for Chinese culture and art.
