Professor Zhang Zongyiassumed office as the President of XMU. Professor Zhang Rong will serve as XMU Party Secretary.
Professor Zhang Zongyi was born in May 1964. Hebegan his professional career in February 1988 and isa CPC member. Professor Zhang obtained his PhD in Power System & Automationand PhD in Economicsfrom Chongqing University and the University of Portsmouth respectively. He previously served as the President of Chongqing University and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
