The opening ceremony was held on 13 September 2021.Xiamen University (XMU) welcomes its new students. President Zhang Rong and faculty representatives addressed the freshmen, expressing their warm welcome and sincere hopes.

The move-inwas on 9 September 2021. Students are going to start a new journey at XMU.There are 5274 undergraduates and 7252 postgraduates enrolled this year.

Schools and colleges have prepared various activities for the newcomers. The welcome kits includes handmade bookmarks, letters from seniors, self-made architecture models etc.
