On the afternoon of March 31, the First XMU Exhibition of Achievements of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates was inaugurated in Sanjiacun Square. As an important part of the First Annual Meeting of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates, the exhibition is a complete review of some of the most excellent programs accomplished in the past year of 2016, including 52 awarded projects with respect to the academic competitions as well as the Dezhen Social Classroom Fund, 10 best projects of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates, 10 best project ideas etc.

Lin Weidong, deputy secretary of CPC Committee of XMU delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. According to Mr. Lin, it has been a fine tradition of Xiamen University to attach great importance to the cultivation of students’ innovation ability and entrepreneurship, which opens the way to the comprehensive overhaul of XMU in recent years, making it possible to persistently deepen the educational reform and promote the students’ ability to innovate and start a business.The exhibition is not only a display of undergraduates’ innovation achievements, a demonstration of the outcomes of the educational reform of XMU, but also a salute to the coming 96th anniversary of Xiamen University. Mr. Lin hoped that all students will communicate with each other, compete with each other and yield more fruitful results in the days to come.
