On 22 November, The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) announced their results for the 2023 selection of new academicians, recognizing eminent scientists and scholars across the nation with the highest academic honor. Three distinguished XMU faculty members have been elected as new academicians. Professor Zheng Nanfeng and Professor Zhang Rong were respectively selected as CAS academicians in the Division of Chemistry and the Division of Information Technical Sciences, while Professor Xia Ningshao was selected as an academician in the Medicine and Health Engineering Division of CAE.
