XMU Students Got Top Honors in the 4th National Innovative Chemical Experiment Design Competition

The grand finale of the 4th National Innovative Chemical Experiment Design Competition for College Students took place at Zhejiang University from 20 to 23 August. An innovative experiment project titled Preparation of Molecular-based Piezoelectric Material, Fabrication of Piezoelectric Device, and Display of Piezoelectric Effects, executed by XMU students Qi Tongxu, Liu Jiayao, and Su Pijun from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, got the special prize in the competition.

The competition, jointly organized by the Chinese Chemical Society and the Joint Committee of the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education, saw the participation of 1076 teams from 447 colleges and universities. Following intense competition in the national finals, 18 special prizes, 32 first prizes, and 40 second prizes were awarded.

 

The College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at XMU incorporates competitive events into its comprehensive talent development program. Award-winning projects from recent years have been integrated into undergraduate experimental teaching.
