On March 7, 30 days before the 100^th anniversary of Xiamen University, Xiamen University and Xiamen city jointly held a press conference on centenary celebration at the Science and Art Center, Xiamen University.

The conference introduced the highlights of the celebration, pandemic prevention measures and alumni participation in the celebrations, and tentative plans for university construction and development in the next hundred years. In addition, in the conference, No.3 Announcement of the 100th Anniversary of Xiamen University was released, along with the 30-day countdown commemorative cover and the 100th Anniversary of Xiamen University commemorative stamp artwork and themed postal products.

It is pointed out in the conference that in order to avoid participation overload, Xiamen University has set the year 2021 as the University Anniversary Year and April 3-9 as the University Anniversary Week. During the University Anniversary Week, Xiamen University will hold eleven categories of activities, both online and offline, such as the celebration ceremony, Kah Kee Forum, World University Presidents’ Forum and International Forum on Humanities and Social Sciences etc. Xiamen University also encourages and welcomes alumni and guests to come and celebrate together during the University Anniversary Year.
