On August 23^rd, the 2016 Green Tech Contest was held in Taipei. The team from Xiamen University (XMU) received the award of Humanism. Recommended and organized by the Youth League Committee of XMU, the team consisted of six undergraduate students from College of Materials, College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and School of Public Affairs. Under the instruction of Yao Rongqian, associate professor of College of Materials, the team took their work "High-Power LED Devices Based on SiC Heat Dissipation Ceramic Substrate" to compete with the other 20 teams from famous universities all over the world. Finally, the two teams from Tsinghua University and XMU were the two winning teams from mainland China, and the latter was the only team winning the above-mentioned "Humanism" award.
