From July 29th to July 31st, a National Work Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students was held at XMU. The conference was hosted by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education of P.R.C., and organized by XMU. More than 60 representatives from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and the College-Enterprise Union of Educational Innovation put their heads together about the program concerning college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship. The conference was chaired by Mr. Li Zhiyi, the leader of the expert panel of the national training program of innovation and entrepreneurship for college students as well as the president of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. Also present at the conference were Li Yuwei, the Vice Deputy-Director of Department of Higher Education, Hou Yongfeng, an investigator from the Science and Engineering Department.

At the opening ceremony, Lin Dongwei, the Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of XMU  briefed on the updates of the innovation and entrepreneurship in XMU. And Li Yuwei, the Vice Deputy-Director, made specific demands in his speech as regards how to make the next move in light of “National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program”.

During the work conference, Zhang Yan, the Secretary of the Party Committee, met and talked with Li Yuwei, the Vice Deputy-Director, and some other representatives of experts.
