XMU team win the first prize at the 7th China Undergraduate Physics Tournament (CUPT) which was held from August 13-18 in Xi'an Jiaotong University, hosted by China Undergraduate Physics Tournament Committee and organized by Xi'an Jiaotong University. Besides, one team member named Yang Heng won the Best Player for his excellent performance at the contest.

CUPT is a national competition in China patterned after International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT). Over 700 people attended the 7^th CUPT, including audiences from 16 colleges and contestants from 64 ones such as Nankai University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Tsinghua University.
