On April 23, Zhu Chongshi, president of Xiamen University，had a talk with Muzambli Bin Markam, Consul-General of Malaysia in Guangzhou.

    President Zhu expressed his thanks to Malaysian government and Malaysian people for their support in the construction of Xiamen University Malaysia, which has enrolled the first students in February and would expect 500 Chinese students to join in this September. He hoped that the Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou can facilitate the visa application so that the students can study in the campus as scheduled.

    Markam emphasized that Xiamen University Malaysia is the important cooperative project in higher education between the two countries. The Consulate General of Malaysia in Guangzhou would spare no effort on the construction and development of the project. He said the consulate general would simplify and optimize the procedure of visa application to ensure that the students can get visas as scheduled.
