According to the committee of China Top Ten Achievements in Life Sciences 2015, ten research teams are recognized as the top ten of the year 2015 for their contribution to the study in the field of life sciences. Professor Han Jiahuai and his team, from School of Life Sciences of Xiamen University, is one of them for their achievement in the research on the molecular mechanisms in cellular stress responses including inflammation and inflammation related diseases.

    The other nine teams are: Insititute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences led by Zhong Kang and its cooperator China National Rice Research Institute led by Qian Qian, Peking University led by Xie Can , Wuhan University by Song Baoliang, Peking University by Tang Fuchou and Qiao Jie, Zhejiang University by Zhang Chuanxi, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences by Kuang Tingyun and Shen Jianren, Third Military Medical University by Zhou Quanming,National Institute for Food and Drug Control by Zeng Ming and its cooperator Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention by Zhu Fengcai and two other professors, Tsinghua University by Shi Yigong, School of Life Sciences, Peking University by Deng Hongkui.

    The anual “China Top Ten Achievements in Life Sciences” was initiated by China Association for Sciences and Technology in 2015. Ten achievements in life sciences are chosen on the basis of the recommendation of the 18 members of the confederation, peer reviewing and the verification of presidium of the confederation, aiming at promotion of the innovative research in the field of life sciences and full display of the great achievements in the research on life sciences.
