On 11 May, the “French Culture Day”of XMU, Mr. Betrand Furno, the consul general of France in Guangzhou, visited our university. The delegation led by Mr. Betrand Furno includes Mr. Christophe Bonte, the administrator of cooperation programs in science and universities(attaché de coopération scientifique et universitaire), Ms Marierobert Drissi, in charge of French education programs (responsable de l’espace).

    The visit focuses on the promotion of the cooperation between Xiamen University and the attaché de coopération scientifique et universitaire in the fields such as Economics, Oceanic Science and Hospitality Management and Administration. France will provide all the cost for the teachers during their short-term study in France.

    The delegation also asked the students to taste French wine, cheese and to experience the typical French culture.
