Steve Kay (Guo Zhongxin), Chairman American Kay Family Foundation, Visited XMU
Guo Zhongxin, chairman of the board of the American Kay Family Foundation (KFF), visited XMU with Guo Yidao, financial director of KFF, from April 19th to May 4th.
Zhu Chongshi, president of XMU and Yang Bin, vice president, hosted the visiting groups. Friendly and in-depth exchanged was conducted concerning relevant cooperation area during the dialogue. Zhu expressed warm welcome for Mr. Guo’s revisit and sincere thanks to KFF’s support to XMU.
Mr. Guo was invited to be the lecturer of Strength of the South Academic Lecture 623 and delivered the speech titled “Trifeegy model — three major feedback mechanism for institutes” in the chemistry lecture hall in the afternoon on April 25th. Wu Daguang, vice president, welcomed Guo and conferred the lecture souvenir tablet upon him. In his lecture, Guo explained the way to boost three major feedback mechanism for institutes with "Trifeegy” based on Wiki culture to achieve effective personnel management and success. The lecture ended up with heated communication between the spectators and Mr. Guo Chengong, vice dean of Graduate School of XMU and other leaders were present in the lecture.
Lei Genqiang, party secretary of School of Economics of XMU, Zhu Mengnan, Fangyin, both vice deans in the School of Economics, Luo Zhichao, dean assistant of School of Economics, met the visiting group led by Guo Zhong Xin on April 30th. They exchanged views on KVIP program and discussed possible cooperation programs in the future. Mr. Guo visited the financial laboratory, showing intense interest on the real-time stock trading simulation system there. KVIP is a program sponsored by KFF to facilitate overseas study and research of faculty from School of Economics. Two teachers were sent to University of California Irvine for one-year research and study under this program. Another two will be assigned to Chapman University in August this year.
Guo also held dialogue for cooperation with leaders from College of Humanities, Medical College, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Management.
School of Economics established cooperation with KFF in 2011. KFF paid the fourth visit to the school this time. School of Economics built partnership with University of California Irvine and Chapman University to exchange scholars and cultivate students. KFF has cooperated with College of Humanities, Medical College based on the sound cooperation with School of Economics.
