Continuing Education Opens Staff Night School to Uplift Workers

The opening ceremony of staff night school of XMU and opening ceremony of the spring semester online school drew attention from various media organizations.

Correspondents from Xiamen Daily, Hai Xia Dao Bao newspaper agency, Xiamen People’s Broadcasting Station and News Center of Propaganda Department of Party Committee of XMU covered the event. XMU homepage released news of the opening ceremony, which was aired by Xiamen People’s Broadcasting Station on “Xiaguang Morning News” at  7:00 a.m.  Xiamen Daily and Hai Xia Dao Bao  published accounts in the section A10 “Urban News” and section 07 “Politics and Economics Online” respectively. The former named it  XMU Staff Night School Opened Yesterday Attracting Cleaners and Plumbers to Join the Professor’s Class and the latter titled it XMU Launched Staff Night School to Enhance Their Quality. The two stories were also available at http://www.xmnn.cn/ and http://www.taihainet.com/, the online platform of the two newspaper agencies, which were reproduced extensively by various web portal such as http://www.sohu.com/. Guangming Daily (Tencent microblog) and Guangming Online (Guangming microblog) also released news titled XMU welfare: free schooling for staff to promote the event on April, 15th.

Staff Night School has captured extensive social attention and brought far-ranging media coverage. Su Shuluan, a freelance journalist, posted a news review named as Aid the staff through night school in his personal blog to encourage other enterprises to follow.  Fu Biao, commentator of news.hnjy.com.cn, added, Thumbs Up for XMU Night School and Its Human-oriented Care, in which the night school was defined as “the best human-oriented care and welfare to realize the dream of college for the staff”. Cheng Biao, commentator of http://www.taihainet.com/, welcomed the opening of the night school in his news review, singing high praises of  incorporating staff night school into continuing education school and tuition waiver for the staff. He exhorted various units to offer training for the masses, cadres and staff in the to improve professional skills and society as a whole.
