On June 18, the 15th Technology and Projects Fair was held in Fuzhou.  The graphene industry pavilion, with the theme of “New hope, New industry, New energy”, showed to the public the general picture, policies, measures and innovative achievements with regard to the graphene industry in Fujian province. Meanwhile, the first summit forum co-hosted by XMU was also successfully convened. Ye Shiman, Vice-president of XMU and Tian Zhongqun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) attended the forum along with the delegation.

The graphene industry pavilion put on display over 200 products and 100 plus sci-tech achievements from a total of 36 businesses and institutions. The exhibition consisted of three parts and 12 pavilions. The exhibits and achievements covered such areas of graphene industry and downstream applications in close relation to the industries of Fujian province. During the fair, Yu Weiguo, Governor of Fujian province paid a visit and provided relevant advice as regards the exhibition. The governor also expressed his appreciation and encouragement towards the collaborative projects, such as the application of PA6-Graphene composite fiber and graphene-based LED lights.

Currently, XMU is actively engaged in varied negotiations to push to bring the project of PA6-Graphene composite fiber to Xiamen at an earlier date. In the meantime, XMU and Galassia International Automobile Park Company signed a cooperation agreement on graphene lubricant additives at the fair in a bid to build a graphene lubricant additive production line.

Academician Tian Zhongqun said that XMU is sparing no efforts to advance the industrialization of graphene and is very confident that the high-quality graphene industrialization projects will take root in Fujian Province in the days to come.
